West
Virginia Power Minor League Baseball Stadium:
The $23 million
performance specification facility for the Class A minor league baseball
team was completed in record time. Work included a state-of-the-art
sound system, luxury sky boxes, concession buildings, and press box.
Winfield
High School HVAC/Electrical Renovation:
The entire fire
alarm, lighting, and HVAC system for the 30 year old school had to be
completely removed and upgraded during the 13 week summer period.
Yeager
Airport Parking Garage:
The new 706 space
parking garage at Yeager Airport was a design-build project with a fast
paced schedule. The project required tremendous coordination from all
contractors, as well as the owner and owners engineering representatives.
Bank
One:
The Bank One Project
for the 17 floor office building began with a complete renovation of
the core tower. Work then began on each floor as the owner abated the
floors and relocated tenants.
Jackson
& Kelly:
The seven (7) floor
renovation for the law firm of Jackson & Kelly, located in Laidley
Tower, was completed in 9 months. Each of the four phases were overlapping
9 week durations, and had to be coordinated with the owner, who occupied
the space during construction.
Lincoln
County 911:
This design build
911 center is equipped with dual sources for all utilities including
tele/data & electrical power service. It also has a generator that
is capable of backing up the entire building with a UPS system to ensure
critical loads never lose service. This project is the first of its
kind for the region it serves and will be a pioneer for rural areas
in the future.
Judge
Donald F. Black Courthouse Annex:
The construction
of the new Courthouse Annex in Parkersburg, WV, first consisted of demolishing
the internal structure of the existing Town Square Building. This building
had a variety of uses, including law offices, restaurants & movie
theaters. New-age lighting and a fiber optic backbone for communications
were installed between the existing Annex & Courthouse buildings.
Steptoe
& Johnson Corporate Office:
The tenant fit out
for the 4th & 5th Floors of the new United Center in Morgantown,
WV was completed in 12 weeks. This included a fully equipment modern
law offices, suites & conference rooms. The tenant fit our
for the 3rd Floor of the Bank One building in Huntington, WV was completed
fully occupied. This project was a renovation of selected areas for
growth & expansion in the areas market.
TRI-STATE
RACE TRACK AND GAMING CENTER:
The 55,000 square
foot addition and renovation to the center was completed in record time.
The addition included space for gaming machines, a restaurant, bars,
and a simulcast area.
WESTERN
REGIONAL JAIL:
The 175,000 square
foot jail in Barboursville, West Virginia consists of four pods with
each one housing approximately one hundred inmates.
MAN
K-8 SCHOOL:
The new K-8 school
located in Man, WV is a 75,000 square foot facility that serves the
Logan County area.
LAIDLEY
TOWER:
This 236,000 square
foot hexagonal-shaped office complex rises 255 feet and dominates the
skyline of West Virginia's capital city.
MCJUNKIN
CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS:
This 80,000 square
foot office complex represented a state-of-the-art office environment,
including computer controlled lighting, under-carpet wiring, and a HALON
system for computer areas.
BORG
WARNER TECHNICAL CENTER:
This research and
development facility represents sophisticated technology coupled with
a fresh, inviting facility design.
CAPITAL
HIGH SCHOOL:
The 230,000 square
foot Capital High School Complex is one of our most aggressive projects.
Comprised of two separate structures containing 12 different areas of
construction, including a gymnasium, TV studio, science center, and
theater.
CHARLESTON
AREA MEDICAL CENTER SPECIAL CARE FACILITY:
The 132,000 square
foot facility contained some of the most sophisticated electrical systems
of the time. Progressive Electric installed electrical systems for operating
rooms, CT scanners, MRI procedures, and a lithotripter facility.
DIAMOND
BUILDING:
The renovation of the 256,000 square foot Diamond Department Store for
the State of West Virginia represents our largest design-build project
to date. The original facility was completely retrofitted to accommodate
the modern technology required in today's office facilities.
